Sennheiser ME66 Shotgun Mic
The Sennheiser ME66 Shotgun Microphone features a highly directional, cardioid polar pattern with excellent attenuation at the sides of the microphone. The result is a microphone with focused front pick-up that performs well in noisy or acoustically live environments, at home on a boom or anywhere you need directional sound recording.
Sennheiser boom mics like the ME66 are known for their durability and versatility on location and in the studio. The compact design and directionality make the ME66 mic a great on-camera performer as well. Shotgun microphones like the ME66 are typically used with a handheld boom overhead for ideal positioning during sound recording. Many other Sennheiser boom mics can be found on film sets, perhaps most frequently the Sennheiser MKH-416.
The Sennheiser ME66 includes a K6 modular power supply that uses a standard AA battery or accepts phantom power from a camera or mixer.
